Mark Fillo - GIS Analyst - B. Urban Forestry

Mark is a GIS Analyst, passionate about transforming data into actionable insights for better decision-making. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Forestry with a Minor in Landscape and Recreation Planning from the University of British Columbia. In his role, he leverages the capabilities of GIS to impact communities and the environment. Mark specializes in high-resolution landcover mapping, spatial data analysis, cartography, remote sensing, and scripting GIS workflows. Additionally, he is the resident GIS and remote sensing specialist in the Urban Ecology and Sustainability Lab at the UBC Faculty of Forestry supporting cutting-edge research towards more resilient and sustainable cities.
