Jodi Crawford - Junior Urban Forest Planner - M.Sc. Forest Science, B.Sc.H. Physical Geography & GIS

Jodi is passionate about projects that strengthen the connections between people, communities, and nature. She holds a BScH in Physical Geography and GIS from Queen’s University, as well as a dual Master’s of Forestry degree from the University of British Columbia and the University of Padova (Italy) through the Trans-Atlantic Forestry Master’s Program (TRANSFOR-M). Drawing on her knowledge of urban forest management, she has collaborated closely with governments, non-profits, and academic stakeholders to improve ecological connectivity within southern Ontario’s Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System. She has also contributed her skills in data analysis and reporting, project management, and stakeholder engagement to initiatives like the City of Hamilton’s Biodiversity Action Plan and the Parks Canada Ecological Corridors Pilot Program. As a Junior Urban Forest Planner, she is excited to continue using her expertise to bring nature closer to local communities.
