Alexandra Welch, Junior Biologist & Safety Coordinator - B.Env. (Resource and Environmental Management)

Alexandra is a Junior Biologist with a degree from SFU in Environment in Resource and Environmental Management. She has three years of experience in applied biology and is passionate about improving human interaction with the environment and management of environmental resources. In her free time, she volunteers as a Director of a non-profit organization conducting conservation science research and engaging the public with nature and assists in research to better determine the use of critical habitats of migrating bird species.

At Diamond Head, Alexandra has worked on various projects for private and government clients, requiring her to collaborate with clients and stakeholders to manage environmental assets. Her expertise includes riparian area assessments, avian management plans, ecological reports, and environmental impact assessments. Recently, Alexandra collaborated with Metro Vancouver to manage an eagle nest, ensuring on-site activities did not negatively impact the raptors or their young. Alexandra will continue to support conservation initiatives through the recommendation and implementation of contemporary best management practices.
