TRANS MOUNTAIN PIPELINE Technical Review

Technical Review of Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion Environmental Assessment
City of New Westminster
2014 - 2015

Diamond Head in partnership with Zoetica Wildlife Research Services Inc. (Zoetica), was retained by the City of New Westminster to assist them in their review of Kinder Morgan's proposed Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project. The City had concerns about the potential impacts of the route on the Sapperton neighbourhood, the Braid Industrial Area and the Brunette River watershed. This task included summarizing all existing information on the ecology of the Brunette River and adjacent land use, conducting a technical review of the environmental assessment, and submitting Information Requests to the National Energy Board on behalf of City staff and Council. The Information Requests addressed specific municipal concerns that will be considered by the Board as part of the review process.
