T30. Tyler Rodgers
Theraesa is an experienced biologist with a background in both forest and aquatic ecology. She completed her graduate degree in Geography at McGill University, exploring patterns of faunal biodiversity in agroforestry systems of southern India. Before joining the Diamond Head team, Theraesa worked as an aquatic biologist with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, performing accuracy assessments of shoreline geomorphology data for use oil spill response planning. Specialising in landscape ecology and GIS, Theraesa is broadly interested in the application of ecological principles in environmental management, landscape development and land-use planning. She is also an avid outdoor enthusiast with a passion for wildlife photography.
Tyler is an ISA Certified Arborist and Registered Forest Technologist with the ABCFP, with a background in forest development and silviculture.
After graduating from BCIT in 2014 with a Diploma of Technology in Sustainable Resource Management, Tyler moved up to Williams Lake BC to pursue opportunities in the forest industry. He became a Silviculture Accredited Surveyor in 2015 and RFT in 2016, and has helped coordinate various BC Hydro programs including vegetation management, environmental monitoring for tower coating, and herbicide treatment of invasive species.
