DESCRIPTION: Invasive Species Treatment and Planting Program
CLIENT: Concord Pacific Development Inc.
YEAR: 2014 - 2015
In support of the Brentwood Town Centre re-development and the “Woodlands” design concept, Diamond Head conducted an environmental assessment of watercourses and riparian areas on site—including Stickleback Creek—and provided detailed recommendations for natural areas enhancement, and park programming and design. Enhancement of this riparian corridor will provide improved fish passage and wildlife habitat, further connecting the urban and natural elements of the Town Centre.
Goals and objectives of this program include the enhancement of water quality, food and nutrients to current and future fish habitat; as well as design of terrestrial riparian plant communities (including management of invasive species) and habitat features to support a diversity of wildlife species.
