ARBORICULTURE AND URBAN FORESTRY

ARBORICULTURE

Our staff includes an ISA certified arborist, a professional forester and professional biologist, all of whom are certified danger tree and wildlife tree assessors. We work closely with our clients to provide a range of arboriculture services from tree health and hazard tree assessments to tree replacement and protection planning. All recommendations for tree management are made taking into consideration natural ecological processes including forest pests and diseases, wildlife concerns and the management of rare and endangered species.

Our staff have extensive experience in evaluating the safety and retention capabilities of tree resources with respect to planned developments. We provide all aspects of tree management planning including initial stand assessments, consultation with the design team, detailed tree inventories, hazard tree assessments and comprehensive tree retention and replacement strategies.

ECOLOGICAL INVENTORIES

(These inventories are developed in a GIS based program)

The effectiveness of natural resource management planning is directly dependent on the understanding of the ecological characteristics present. We strongly promote the development of proper ecological inventories that will provide a solid foundation for sound management decisions. These inventories are developed in GIS based programs whenever possible to allow for spatial analysis and mapping.
